Question on the correct application of rum

When making a rum and coke, is it acceptable to mix two different types of rum? My Mt. Gay Elipse seems to go very well with the Gosling's Black Seal. These are my proportions:

2 pts Coke
1 pt Mt. Gay
~3/4 pt Black Seal
a titch of lemon juice

You know, on second though, I don't care if it's correct. It's tasty anyway! As Red Green says, "It's not smart, or correct, but it's one of the things that makes us who we are."

mixing rum is probably OK, but make sure you use Mexican Coke. That HFCS Coke doesn't work as well.

I wonder if I can even get Mexican Coke up in the cold white north? What I've got is a two liter bottle of the standard stuff, just cause it was about half as much as the smaller bottles. Economy of scale, or vast conspiracy to take over America by way of obesity? YOU DECIDE!!!

You can also get it at Passover.

Why do Jews need Mexican Coke for a religious holiday?

The Passover Coke is made with sugar can sugar instead of corn sugar.

It tastes better, too.

I have never heard of Passover Coke before. But then, I don't keep kosher either. But then, I hardly ever drink soda pop, either. It's just a mixer to me.
