It's going to stop leaking, but since it's a stock low flow, I have a terrible feeling that the next thing on the to do list after "butcher chicken" would be "unclog chicken entrails from toilet" which doesn't sound very fun.
Butcher chicken sounds the easiest; shouldn't take more than a few minutes.
