Wow...glad no one was hurt! I'm too big a chicken to work with explosives like that.
Well, technically a hybrid rocket doesn't use explosives. Nothing actually burnt during this incident.
Heheheheheh. Cool. Things are tested very near my office on a regular basis and go "blammo" loud enough to rattle the windows. It's a good sound -- the sound of freedom.
Energetic, non-directional expansions of gasses, explosive or not, are generally not something I appreciate being near. You have bigger ones than me ;).
Some explosions are big, but this one's a butte.ba dum, tish.
