I was messing around on Youtube the other day, and discovered something strange. It seems that about every music video called "Here I Am" is freaky-weird.
We have VERY tall pop cowboys and cowgirls in slow motion. This is so ridiculously overblown and cheesy it hurts.
We have Turkish oil wrestling which involves shoving your hand down the other guy's pants (!?!?!?!?). Seriously, if you only watch one of these, watch this one.
We have probably the most normal one of the bunch, with a whiny-sounding chick pouting to herself in a dark room.
And the classic Air Supply ballad, which involves men who take themselves much too seriously and have much too much hair.
Is there some sort of Law of the Universe that says if you write a song called "Here I Am," you have to take yourself too seriously?
