In Sunny CA, where apparently all the problems have been solved while I wasn't looking, they are replacing all the headstones at the cemetery of an old mining camp called "Negro Hill" with headstones that say "N-Word Hill."

When did the Spanish word for black become a _-word? When did "Those who cannot [or will not] remember the past are condemned to repeat it" fall out of the common vernacular?
